In this example we are going to use the Cropping tool, OneClick Color
Correction tool, & Sharpen tool.
|
First, select the photo
from My Pictures folder
using CorrectPhoto's built-in Windows Explorer.
Note: You can save
the final corrected picture in the same folder or using File/Save As to
put it into another folder. If this is the first picture you
correct and save the Auto Archive feature will ask you if you want to
archive the original file. It is a good idea to archive your
original shots for future reference. |
|
|
With CorrectPhoto, you can crop to specific print sizes like
3x5, 4x6, 5x7, etc. Two, you can turn an average snapshot
into a more meaningful portrait by zeroing in on the important
elements and leaving out the rest.

Select 4x6 Landscape Cropping Format
|

Grab the black squares to change the size of the crop window and
position the curser inside the box with the left mouse button
depressed and you can move the crop window. When you are satisfy
click the Apply button on the tool bar. (Note: The cropped
picture is automatically rezed up to maintain high print
resolution) |
|
Step 3.
OneClick Color Correction |
CorrectPhoto's unique OneClick color correction is automatically
activated when you apply the crop. Move the curser over
the image and click on one or more neutral areas (white, grey or
black). In this photo we clicked on the cell phone and the white
flower. Normally, that is all you have to do.
If
you think adjusting the brightness, contrast or saturation would
be beneficial simply click on the color icon on the tool bar and
follow the instructions.

Step 4. Sharpen Picture
(Optional) |
Click on the Sharpen
tool to make the final pictures a little sharper or crisper. You
will be amazed at how sharp the print will look. But,
don't over do it. Normally, only one click is enough,
maybe two. If you go to far and the picture starts looking
funny click on the Undo button.

|

|
|
Save the final picture by either clicking on the little floppy
icon on the tool bar or the File/Save As on the file menu.

|

The final picture is 2592 x 1729 pixels resulting in a great 4x6
print. We uploaded it to Sam's Club Online Prints and picked up
the print and our local Sam's club. |

This Create a Memory example was one picture
taken at my mother-in-laws 90th birthday party. I took 110
shots with my Canon 5 MP G5. With CorrectPhoto I created a final
set of 27 "memories" for family members in less than 30 minutes.
I uploaded the files to Sam's Club Online
Print service by clicking on the

on the CorrectPhoto Tool Bar. I picked up the 4x6 prints at our
local Sam's Club and they were outstanding.
This memory of Virginia talking to her grandson
who was away at college and unable to attend the party was
clearly the most favorite memory.
